Local Chapter
The Lambda Eta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated®, a professional nursing organization, was chartered on October 11, 1986, in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Dedicated to the sorority's principles of Friendship, Character, Education, Service, and Sisterly Love, Lambda Eta is committed to advancing health equity, professional nursing excellence, community service, and leadership development.
The chapter has a rich history of service through impactful programs and projects that address the health and wellness needs of the community. Signature initiatives have included participation in the St. Jude Virtual Walk, Christmas Adopt-a-Family programs, Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service activities, food drives, COVID-19 vaccination efforts, senior outreach programs, and community worship services recognizing nurses during Nurses Week. Lambda Eta members also support health education and community engagement through partnerships with local organizations, churches, and healthcare agencies.
Lambda Eta proudly maintains affiliations with Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated® at the regional and national levels and has demonstrated leadership throughout the organization by hosting major events, including Regional Meetings, the 2009 National Boule in Dallas, and leadership development programs. The chapter also supports nursing students through its affiliated Beta chapters, fostering the next generation of nurse leaders.
For nearly four decades, Lambda Eta Chapter has remained steadfast in its mission to promote professional nursing, improve community health, and provide meaningful service throughout North Texas and beyond.
